Pakistan’s star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi reached a remarkable T20I milestone during the Asia Cup Super Four match against Bangladesh, where his all-round brilliance secured Pakistan’s spot in the final.

Batting first, Pakistan set a target of 136 runs. Bangladesh fell short, managing 124/9 in their 20 overs. Shaheen was the standout performer, taking 3 wickets for just 17 runs, and scoring a quick 19 off 13 balls with two sixes. His match-winning effort earned him the Player of the Match award for the 10th time in T20Is — the most by any fast bowler in the format.

Alongside Shaheen, Haris Rauf also excelled with the ball, bagging three wickets. Together, the pace duo produced combined figures of 6 for 50 in eight overs, dismantling Bangladesh’s batting order.

Key breakthroughs came early as Shaheen dismissed Parvez Hossain Emon and Towhid Hridoy, while Haris removed Saif Hassan during the powerplay. Despite small partnerships, Bangladesh kept losing wickets at regular intervals, with Saim Ayub and Mohammad Nawaz also chipping in. Pakistan eventually sealed an 11-run victory in a tense finish.
