PCB Grants Central Contracts and Increases Salaries for Women Cricketers

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has introduced updated central contracts for national women cricketers, featuring a substantial 50% increase in monthly retainers across all categories.

In a bid to further uplift women’s cricket, a total of 20 players have been awarded contracts for the 2025–26 cycle, effective from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. These contracts are divided into five categories.

Top ICC T20I bowler Sadia Iqbal has been placed in Category A, along with Fatima Sana, Muneeba Ali, and Sidra Amin. Category B includes Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig (promoted from Category C), and Nashra Sandhu. Rameen Shamim has moved up to Category C from D.

Ten players, such as Gull Feroza, Najiha Alvi, and Omaima Sohail, have been placed in Category D, while Eyman Fatima and Shawaal Zulfiqar make up Category E.

Newly contracted players include Aliya Riaz, Natalia Pervaiz, Sidra Nawaz, Waheeda Akhtar, Eyman Fatima, and Shawaal Zulfiqar. The final roster was approved by the women’s selection committee, in consultation with head coach Mohammad Wasim.

This announcement comes as the Pakistan women’s team prepares for a packed schedule, including the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup (Sep–Oct 2025) and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup (June 2026), as well as multiple bilateral series at home and abroad.

The revised contracts and pay rise reflect PCB’s commitment to strengthening women’s cricket and providing players with the support needed to compete on the global stage.
