[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Najam Sethi has warned the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) to monitor their players’ behaviour during the upcoming series between the two countries in Sharjah.
When the two teams met in the Asia Cup last year in Sharjah, Asif Ali was spotted exchanging heated words with Afghan fast bowler Fareed Ahmad Malik. Fareed shoved Asif initially, prompting the batter to raise his bat at the speedster, prompting the other players and umpires on the field to step in.
“I spoke with Afghan officials in Dubai regarding crowd control and the behaviour of their players. “What is the assurance about controlling your supporters and fans, because previous experiences haven’t been positive,” Sethi asked.
“We told the Afghanistan Board to keep their players under control. Winning and losing are both a part of the game. We’ve had enough experience with winning and losing to be capable of controlling our emotions, but they’re fresh to international cricket and must keep their players in check,” he added.

During the aforementioned match, Afghan fans were spotted attacking Pakistan fans with chairs after the game as their team lost a close contest.
“There were two guarantees. “UAE authorities have devised a new strategy in which they would do everything possible to ensure that Pakistani and Afghan fans do not sit together,” Sethi explained.
