42,000 Pilgrims to Return to Pakistan Today, PIA Confirms

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced that approximately 42,000 Hajj pilgrims are scheduled to return to Pakistan tomorrow (July 2) as part of its ongoing post-Hajj repatriation operation.

According to PIA management, 24,000 pilgrims have already been brought back to the country through a total of 109 flights. The operation is being conducted using aircraft from the national carrier’s fleet, including Boeing 777s and Airbus A320s.

The post-Hajj return flights are set to continue until July 10, as confirmed by the airline.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has begun the mandatory registration process for Hajj 2026, which will remain open until July 9. The ministry clarified that no registration fee is required at this stage, but emphasized that early registration is compulsory. Only those who complete this initial registration will be eligible to perform Hajj in 2026.
