Trump Pursues Swift Resolution to Gaza Conflict: White House Urges Immediate Action

White House, State Department Outline Trump Administration’s Push for Gaza Ceasefire, Tax Reforms, and Security Measures

WASHINGTON — In a series of high-level briefings this week, the White House and State Department detailed the Trump administration’s ongoing initiatives to secure peace in Gaza, enact sweeping tax reforms, and strengthen national security amid evolving geopolitical challenges.

Commitment to Ending Gaza Conflict

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reaffirmed President Donald Trump’s active engagement in resolving the Gaza war and securing the release of hostages held by Hamas.

“We are working tirelessly to end the war in Gaza and recover all the hostages. Aid has reached Gaza because of President Trump’s proactive diplomacy,” Leavitt said.

She added that the president remains in close communication with Israeli leadership to coordinate both peace efforts and humanitarian aid, emphasizing that Trump seeks a “swift and peaceful resolution.”

Political Criticism and Domestic Policy

Leavitt used the platform to criticize political rivals, targeting New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, whom she labeled a “communist” and accused of supporting Hamas.

“If Zohran Mamdani is elected, it will be extremely difficult to work with him given his stance,” she warned.

She also condemned Democratic opposition to Trump’s tax policies and anti-corruption agenda.

“President Trump’s revolution focuses on tax cuts and border security. Democrats have consistently stood against our mission to eliminate corruption,” Leavitt said.

Tax Reform on the Horizon

Leavitt confirmed that the administration is actively working with Congress to pass a new round of tax cuts aimed at boosting the economy and offering relief to American families and businesses.

State Department Echoes Gaza Focus, National Security Priorities

At a separate briefing, State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce echoed Leavitt’s comments, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to brokering a ceasefire and addressing Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.

“Our efforts are focused on easing the hardships of the people of Gaza. We’re actively working to deliver aid and establish a lasting ceasefire,” Bruce stated.

Bruce also defended the recent cancellation of visas for several British artists, citing national security concerns.

“It is our policy to cancel visas in the national interest. Every country has the right to protect its citizens,” she said. “Anyone entering the US must respect the people who live here.”

Iran, Syria, and Regional Strategy

Bruce highlighted the administration’s strategic approach toward Iran, emphasizing America’s continued role as a major actor in the Middle East.

“Our attitude toward Iran shows that the United States remains a key player,” she asserted.

She also confirmed the phased lifting of sanctions on Syria, aligning with Trump’s broader effort to recalibrate U.S. engagement in the region.

“We are lifting sanctions in a phased manner. Hamas is responsible for the situation in Gaza, and we are committed to making every effort for a ceasefire,” Bruce added.

Praise for Senator Marco Rubio

Bruce concluded her briefing by commending Senator Marco Rubio for his work on behalf of the administration.

“He is working on President Trump’s instructions to help establish peace worldwide,” she said.

The coordinated messaging from both the White House and State Department signals a multifaceted diplomatic and domestic policy push as the Trump administration seeks to consolidate its position on the global stage while advancing key legislative priorities at home.
