Iran Pledges to Continue Peaceful Nuclear Activities Despite US Attacks

He made the remarks during a press conference in Islamabad following the US strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities — Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

The ambassador reiterated that Iran’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful, aimed at generating electricity and other civilian uses. He highlighted that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed the peaceful nature of Iran’s program fifteen times.

He pointed out that negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program were ongoing when Israel launched attacks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities and assassinated key nuclear scientists and military leaders, prompting Iran’s missile response.

Calling the Israeli and US strikes blatant violations of international law, he asserted that Israel wouldn’t withstand Iran’s missile power for even ten days.

“Iran will respond to the US in accordance with the UN Charter, and American forces worldwide will be targets,” he warned.

He also expressed gratitude to the Pakistani government for condemning the attacks on Iranian territory.

The Iranian nuclear commission, he said, is assessing the situation after the US strikes to ensure public safety.

“We are fully prepared for a prolonged conflict under our leadership’s guidance and the strength of our forces,” he declared, adding, “We have not yet requested weapons from any foreign country.”
