Thieves riding in an unidentified car stole three goats valued at around Rs650,000 from outside a residence in the Chung area. The goats were tied outside the home of local resident Basit when the culprits arrived, quickly loaded the animals into their vehicle, and fled the scene.
Chung police have registered a case and are investigating by reviewing nearby CCTV footage to identify and capture the suspects. This incident is part of a rising trend, with several reports of sacrificial animals being stolen in recent weeks.

Lahore police report that since May, 218 suspects have been arrested related to livestock theft, and 161 cases have been registered. Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana emphasized increased efforts to curb such crimes, focusing on recovering stolen animals and arresting fraudsters.
The CCPO also highlighted security and traffic management measures at cattle markets, aimed at protecting traders, buyers, and citizens from theft and pickpocketing. Additionally, he called for strict action against individuals using counterfeit currency to defraud people.
