Terror Plot Disrupted In Swift CTD Operation

A major terrorist attempt was foiled near Rahmani Khel Mor in Mianwali as the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out a successful intelligence-led operation, officials revealed. The preemptive strike prevented planned attacks on police check-posts in the area.

According to CTD sources, the operation was launched following credible intelligence about a group of militants preparing to carry out large-scale strikes on law enforcement targets. As CTD teams closed in, they came under intense gunfire from the suspects.

In the ensuing exchange, three militants were killed—reportedly hit by bullets fired by their own group. However, six other suspects managed to escape, prompting an immediate search effort across the region.

Security personnel recovered rifles, grenades, ammunition, and explosives from the site. Checkpoints have been set up around Rahmani Khel Mor as authorities continue to hunt for the remaining suspects. Officials confirmed that the attackers had completed their planning for coordinated assaults before being intercepted.
