A woman in Chak Jhumra near Faisalabad died after taking herbal medicine her husband obtained from a local hakeem in hopes of conceiving a child.
According to police, the incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Chak Jhumra police station. The husband, identified as Nosheer, had brought the remedy for his wife, Sana Noor, as the couple was struggling with childlessness.

Shortly after consuming the medicine, Sana’s health worsened, and she began experiencing intense kidney pain. She was rushed to the hospital but could not survive.
Police have registered a case against both the husband and the herbalist involved.
