Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has thanked Turkiye for its firm and unwavering support for Pakistan in the face of recent Indian aggression. Speaking during a meeting with Turkish Ambassador Irfan Naziroglu, she emphasized the depth of the bilateral relationship, rooted in shared history, faith, and culture.
“Pakistan is grateful for Turkiye’s unwavering solidarity on the diplomatic, moral and strategic fronts,” she noted, praising President Erdogan’s statement of support, which she said has been “engraved in the hearts” of all Pakistanis.

The meeting also focused on enhancing trade cooperation, promoting regional peace, and strengthening cultural ties. Maryam Nawaz described Pakistan-Turkiye relations as a “shining symbol of mutual trust and shared values.”
She further stressed the importance of translating these historic ties into greater economic and strategic cooperation, highlighting the need to boost bilateral trade and partnerships across key sectors.
