Pakistan Submits Final Appeal to Saudi Arabia for Reinstatement of Private Hajj Quota
Pakistan Appeals to Saudi Arabia for Restoration of Private Hajj Quota for 2025

In a final effort to restore Pakistan’s private Hajj quota for 2025, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has formally appealed to Saudi authorities, submitting a detailed letter in both English and Arabic.

The appeal underscores the emotional and spiritual distress faced by 67,000 Pakistani pilgrims who were excluded from this year’s Hajj due to technical errors and non-payment of service provider fees. The Ministry emphasized that many of these pilgrims are elderly and may never get another opportunity to perform the sacred pilgrimage.

According to the Ministry, the required funds are already with Saudi authorities, and Pakistan is requesting that any remaining available slots in Mina be allocated to these pilgrims. The letter expressed the nation’s deep sorrow and concern, calling the exclusion of such a large number of pilgrims a significant humanitarian issue.

The Ministry further assured that all future Hajj rules and deadlines will be strictly observed, and that the private sector will be fully aligned with Saudi regulations moving forward. The request concluded by appealing to Islamic values of compassion and brotherhood, urging the Kingdom to consider the plea as a gesture of unity and mercy.
