English batter Alex Hales has officially rejoined Islamabad United for the remaining matches of HBL PSL 10, expressing heartfelt support for the team and fans.
Hales, a regular feature in United’s lineup, acknowledged the difficulties caused by the league’s abrupt suspension and rescheduling, which were prompted by regional tensions, airspace closures, and security concerns that forced the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to pause the tournament midway.

With HBL PSL 10 now set to resume on May 17, Hales affirmed his dedication to the franchise.
“Islamabad United has always meant a lot to me,” he said. “It was the first PSL team I represented in Pakistan, and the backing from both fans and the franchise has been outstanding.”
The star opener noted that he had to adjust previous commitments due to the revised schedule but emphasized his excitement about returning.
“When I signed in April, I was eager to join the squad for the final stages. Although I’ve had to rearrange some plans, I’m absolutely delighted to be back in Pakistan and wearing red again,” Hales added.
