Speaking to journalists during the “Youm-e-Tashakur” (Thanksgiving Day) celebrations in Sharaqpur, Hussain highlighted the national celebrations, where citizens danced to drum beats and fireworks lit up the sky. The atmosphere across Pakistan was jubilant, with people expressing gratitude to the Pakistan Army for what they termed a decisive and successful operation.

India Seeks US Mediation for Ceasefire

Hussain stated that following Pakistan’s military response, India requested United States mediation for a ceasefire. The US, in turn, communicated this request to Pakistan through intermediary nations.

Pakistan has delivered a lesson to a country that claims to have seven times our military strength,” Hussain emphasized. “Even India’s future generations will remember this humiliation,” he added.

Prospects for Peace Talks

Hussain further mentioned that peace talks between India and Pakistan are likely to take place in Qatar or the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Criticism of Indian Media

The Minister also criticized the Indian media for playing a role in escalating tensions, labeling their conduct as “shameful.” In contrast, he commended Pakistani media for maintaining a responsible, fact-based approach to reporting during the crisis.
