Pakistan’s aviation sector remains in disarray as over 150 flights were canceled nationwide, despite the recent ceasefire announcement. The mass cancellations have caused major travel disruptions, leaving passengers stranded and flight schedules in disarray.

Airports in major cities such as Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, and Multan have faced severe delays, with 45 flights canceled in Karachi alone. Aviation authorities confirmed that flight operations have yet to return to normal.

Amid the chaos, a few Hajj flights offered a silver lining. Over 700 pilgrims managed to depart for Medina today via three scheduled flights, including a private carrier from Lahore and two Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) departures.

The ongoing disruptions stem from recent airspace restrictions triggered by heightened military tensions between India and Pakistan. Although tensions have eased, the aftermath continues to affect commercial air traffic. Several Gulf carriers, including Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways, and Saudi Airlines, have temporarily halted operations to and from Pakistan due to safety concerns.
