Residents of Seri village in Murree—situated between Islamabad and Rawalpindi—are living in constant fear and financial distress due to frequent leopard attacks. Though the region is known for its scenic forests and natural beauty, the recurring presence of wild predators has made life dangerous.
In a recent incident, a leopard emerged from the woods and killed goats belonging to an elderly villager. Similar attacks have become alarmingly routine, with most households experiencing such losses.

Since livestock is the primary source of income for many locals, the repeated attacks have triggered panic and uncertainty.
Villagers say their complaints to the Wildlife Department have gone unanswered and are now calling on higher authorities to intervene and offer compensation.
