The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory effective April 8, 2025, ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) X, as team movements are expected to disrupt daily traffic across the capital.
According to the advisory, special security protocols will be enforced on major routes between 8:30 AM and 9:30 PM at various intervals to ensure safe travel for PSL teams.

Drivers should anticipate delays on key roads, including Express Highway, Faizabad, Club Road, Murree Road, Faisal Avenue, 9th Avenue, and Srinagar Highway, due to temporary diversions and increased security.
Traffic on Express and Srinagar Highways will be notably slow during team transits. Commuters are advised to use alternate service roads, the H-8 Underpass for reaching Blue Area, and Margalla Road, Jinnah Avenue, or 3rd Road for Red Zone access.
Residents of sectors I and H heading to Rawalpindi or Peshawar Road should use service roads from the IGP point for a smoother journey.
Heavy traffic will be restricted from entering Islamabad during PSL team movements. Roads such as Murree Road near Serena Hotel and Faizabad via Rawal Dam will be closed during these times.
The ITP advises residents to plan their travel in advance and allow an extra 20 minutes to avoid delays. Traffic police officers will be stationed at key points to manage flow and assist commuters.
For real-time updates or assistance, citizens can call the ITP Helpline at 1915 or follow the department’s social media platforms. Residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi are urged to travel cautiously during this period.
