Israeli Airstrikes Target Gaza Hospitals

Israeli airstrikes hit tents near two major hospitals in Gaza overnight, resulting in the deaths of at least two individuals, including Palestinian journalist Yousef al-Faqawi. The airstrike struck a media tent outside Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, setting it ablaze and killing al-Faqawi, a reporter for Palestine Today. Another man was also killed in the blast, while several others were injured, including six reporters.

The Israeli military confirmed the strikes, stating that they targeted Hamas positions in the area. However, they claimed to avoid civilian casualties, attributing the deaths to Hamas operating in densely populated zones. Three additional people were injured in a separate airstrike near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

These attacks are part of the ongoing Israeli offensive in Gaza, which has resulted in over 50,000 Palestinian deaths, with a significant portion being women and children. Despite widespread international calls for a ceasefire, Israel has continued its military operations, aiming to pressure Hamas until all hostages are released and the militant group is defeated.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss the ongoing situation in Gaza, as well as a controversial proposal to resettle Gazans abroad, which rights groups warn could be a violation of international law.
