Pakistan has surpassed India in Numbeo’s 2025 Global Safety Index, ranking 65th with a score of 56.3, while India follows at 66th with 55.7. The ranking reflects a slight difference in perceived safety between the two nations.
Numbeo, a crowdsourced data platform, compiles this index by assessing global crime levels to determine the safest and least safe destinations.

Andorra secured the top spot with a score of 84.7, followed by the UAE (84.5), Qatar (84.2), Taiwan (82.9), and Oman (81.7), all recognized for their security measures and low crime rates.
Meanwhile, major economies ranked lower than expected, with the U.S. at 89th (50.8), the UK at 87th, Australia at 82nd, and France at 110th (44.6).
Venezuela ranked as the least safe country (19.3), followed by Papua New Guinea, Haiti, Afghanistan, and South Africa.
Numbeo’s rankings are based on user-contributed data, measuring crime perceptions rather than official statistics.
