Pakistan May Host Entire Bangladesh Series in Faisalabad

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly planning to host the entire upcoming series against Bangladesh in Faisalabad, according to Jang News. This move marks a significant shift from the usual practice of scheduling fixtures across multiple venues.

By centralizing the series in Faisalabad—a city known for its passionate cricket culture—the PCB aims to enhance local engagement and provide fans with a vibrant international cricket experience. The decision is expected to streamline logistics while creating a festive atmosphere, benefiting local businesses and attracting media coverage.

The Bangladesh-Pakistan limited-overs series is set to follow the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League. With major stadiums in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Multan having hosted high-profile PSL matches, Faisalabad emerges as a strategic choice for the upcoming international fixtures.

Faisalabad has already demonstrated its capability as a host city during the ongoing National T20 Cup, where it is staging a record number of matches, including all knockout rounds and the final. The return of international cricket will be a significant milestone for the city, which last hosted an international match in 2008—coincidentally, also between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

As the schedule is finalized, the PCB is expected to release details on match timings and security measures to ensure a smooth and secure tournament.
