Sources revealed on Monday that Pakistan’s team for the upcoming New Zealand tour is expected to be announced tomorrow. The National Selection Committee has finalized both the T20 and ODI squads after evaluating players’ fitness levels and recent performances. Chief Selector Aqib Javed will reveal the squad during a press conference, as the tour is seen as essential preparation for future international competitions.

In a significant shakeup, reports suggest that Pakistan’s T20 captain, Muhammad Rizwan, might be dropped as the PCB makes major changes ahead of the New Zealand tour. Instead, Salman Ali Agha and Muhammad Haris are reportedly being considered as potential replacements for the T20 captaincy.
Additionally, several veteran players, including Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, are expected to be left out of the T20 squad. For the ODI team, the PCB appears to be focusing on fresh talent by excluding key players such as Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf. In their place, wicketkeeper-batter Muhammad Haris is anticipated to join the squad along with promising young pacers Akif Javed and Muhammad Wasim Jr.
