Tecno has introduced what it claims to be the world’s thinnest smartphone—the Spark Slim—which measures only 5.75 mm in thickness and is equipped with two 50 MP cameras and a sturdy 5,200 mAh battery.
Despite its eye-catching design, the Spark Slim is currently just a concept, and there is no confirmation on when—or even if—it will hit the market in its current form. Demo units are scheduled to be showcased at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, though a commercial launch appears unlikely in the near future.

The concept phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with curved edges, delivering 1224p resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Tecno claims the device achieves a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and includes a 13 MP front camera. Additionally, it sports a 4.04 mm thick battery that supports 45W fast charging. Although the camera bump adds a slight bulk, the overall design remains remarkably streamlined.
Tecno has not disclosed details about the Spark Slim’s chipset, only noting that it uses an octa-core CPU. It appears unlikely that the phone will adopt a flagship-class platform, since the advanced cooling systems required for such performance would be too large for its ultra-compact design.
Attendees at MWC in Barcelona will have the chance to see the Spark Slim firsthand. While its futuristic dimensions and features hint at new possibilities in smartphone design, it remains to be seen whether the Spark Slim will ever be available for purchase.
