South Africa Sets 305-Run Target for New Zealand in Tri-Nation Series Match

South Africa set a competitive target of 305 runs for New Zealand in the second match of the tri-nation ODI series at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Monday. Leading the charge for South Africa was Matthew Breetzke, who played a superb knock, scoring 150 off 148 balls, laced with 11 fours and 5 sixes, anchoring his team’s innings.

Wiaan Mulder added a solid 64 off 60 balls, while Jason Smith contributed 41 before being run out. New Zealand’s bowling attack remained disciplined, with Matt Henry taking 2 wickets for 59 runs, and Michael Bracewell claiming 1 for 43. Despite losing key wickets at crucial moments, including captain Temba Bavuma and Kyle Verreynne, Breetzke’s valiant effort helped South Africa reach a total of 304/6.
