Cloudy Skies and Cooler Weather to Sweep Across Punjab

Lahore and several districts in Punjab are set to experience a noticeable shift in weather conditions, as the Meteorological Department forecasts cold and cloudy days ahead. For the next two days, cloudy skies are expected to dominate the region, bringing cooler temperatures and a slight chance of light rain in some districts.

In Lahore, the minimum temperature has already dropped to 8°C, with the maximum expected to reach 24°C. While the cloudy weather is likely to persist throughout the day, the chances of heavy rainfall remain low. However, districts such as Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Pothohar Division may see light showers, offering brief relief from the ongoing dry spell.

The Met Department has also confirmed that the cooler, cloudier conditions will continue today and tomorrow, providing residents a break from the usual winter chill. This change in weather has been welcomed by many, as the city enjoys a respite from the cold winter winds.

Despite the clouds, Lahore is expected to remain relatively dry, with no heavy rainfall predicted. Across other regions of Punjab, similar dry weather conditions are anticipated, with clear skies expected during the nights. The weather forecast highlights an increase in daytime warmth, while nights remain cool, a trend that is expected to continue in the coming days.

Meanwhile, in the rest of the country, cold and dry weather is forecast for most regions, although areas such as Kashmir, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan may see isolated light rain, wind, or thunderstorms with snow over the hills.
