The American Dream: The World’s Longest Car
Orlando, Florida – The American Dream, a custom-made limousine, currently holds the Guinness World Record as the longest car in the world, measuring an astonishing 30.54 meters (100 feet) in length. Originally built in 1986 by renowned custom car designer Jay Ohrberg, this iconic vehicle was constructed by joining six Cadillac Eldorado limousines and is packed with extravagant luxury features.
A Record-Breaking Limousine
Initially measuring 18.28 meters (60 feet), The American Dream was later extended to a mind-blowing 30.5 meters and is powered by two V8 engines—one at the front and another at the rear. After years of neglect, the limousine was rescued and restored by Michael Dezer and Michael Manning, two automotive enthusiasts who brought the car back to life.
Today, The American Dream features 26 new wheels, a fresh white paint job, and a newly extended frame, making it not only a record-holder but also the longest-operational vehicle ever built.

A Limo Like No Other
But this is more than just an unusually long vehicle. The American Dream is equipped with a range of luxurious amenities, including:
- A swimming pool complete with a diving board
- A jacuzzi and bathtub
- A mini-golf course
- A king-sized waterbed
- A functional helipad for small helicopters
While technically drivable, The American Dream’s extraordinary length makes turning a nearly impossible feat. As a result, it is limited to straight roads only.
Today, this one-of-a-kind limo serves as a museum display at Dezerland Park Orlando’s Auto Museum in Florida, where visitors can admire and marvel at this incredible feat of engineering and design.
