Iran Issues Warning of 'All-Out War' if Nuclear Sites Are Targeted

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that any military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities by the United States or Israel would result in an “all-out war” in the region. In an interview during his visit to Qatar, Araghchi emphasized that such an attack would be a historic mistake for the US and lead to an immediate and decisive response from Iran, triggering a broader conflict across the Middle East.

His warning comes amid concerns that US President Donald Trump, in his second term, might support Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in attacking Iranian nuclear sites while intensifying sanctions.

During his visit, Araghchi also discussed regional issues with Qatari officials, praised Qatar’s role in facilitating the Gaza ceasefire, and met Hamas representatives, calling their perseverance in Gaza a “victory” despite heavy destruction from Israel’s military actions.

Regarding Syria, Araghchi reaffirmed Iran’s support for a Syrian government that represents all societal factions, aiming to maintain stability and territorial integrity while avoiding ongoing conflict or terrorism.

Commenting on US-Iran relations, Araghchi noted the tension, citing Washington’s withdrawal from the nuclear deal and the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani as key points of discord.
