In addition to the death sentence, Fareed Ahmed received a 7-year prison term for injuring a relative, Hidayat Ullah, during the incident. The court also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the absconding co-accused, Bashir Ahmed, and directed the investigating officer to submit a report on Bashir’s arrest every 15 days.

Prosecutor Ashraf Bhatti detailed that on September 28, 2018, Fareed and Bashir Ahmed visited Shabana’s house and opened fire, killing Shabana and injuring Hidayat. The accused fled the scene afterward, and a case was registered at the Peerabad police station by the deceased’s brother.
