Chahat Fateh Ali Khan to Take Legal Action Against Mathira Over Harassment Claims

Pakistani internet personality Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has announced his intention to pursue legal action against television host Mathira following her allegations of harassment during a recent appearance on her show. The controversy began after Mathira voiced her discomfort with Khan’s behavior, claiming it crossed personal boundaries.

A video shared on social media shows Chahat Fateh Ali Khan moving closer to Mathira while performing his song “Bado Badi,” despite her apparent unease. Khan is also seen placing his arm around Mathira and holding her arm multiple times, leading to accusations of inappropriate conduct. Mathira responded by posting a video titled “Mathira Breaks Silence on Harassment by Chahat Fateh Ali Khan,” where she explained that she was uncomfortable with the physical contact, especially since she does not typically engage in such behavior like hugging, and that the video had been recorded without her permission.

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan responded on Instagram, rejecting the harassment claims. He explained that Mathira had been eager for his appearance on the show and later asked him about his music career. He also claimed that she had put her arm around his waist during a photo session, with both of them laughing throughout. Khan clarified that the video in question was recorded by one of Mathira’s crew members, not his team, and he intends to take the matter to court. “I have spoken to my lawyers and will meet with another solicitor. I will take you to court,” he stated.

The incident has sparked significant attention, raising questions about the boundaries of personal conduct in the entertainment industry. Mathira has yet to respond publicly to Khan’s statement. In an unrelated event, Pakistani singer Ali Haider also refused to collaborate with Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, despite being offered a significant sum, stating, “Let Chahat live his life.”
