Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif introduced Pakistan’s first “Chief Minister Minority Card” at a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal Complex on Wednesday.
The program will support 50,000 minority families with quarterly payments of Rs. 10,500, with plans to expand the beneficiaries to 75,000.

Festival grants for minorities have been raised from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000, while the annual development budget for minority communities has increased by 60%.
CM Maryam Nawaz personally distributed the cards and observed an ATM transaction using Sonia Bibi’s card.
Religious leaders, including Bishop Nadeem Kamran, Sardar Saranjit Singh, and Pandit Lal, prayed for the program’s success.
Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, thanked the Chief Minister in Punjabi for her dedication to uplifting minority communities.
