FIR Registered Against Singer Jawad Ahmad for Alleged Attack on Lesco Team
LAHORE: Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against renowned singer Jawad Ahmad and four others for allegedly attacking a team from Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco.
According to the FIR, lodged by the Nawab Town police, a Lesco team discovered tampering with an electricity meter during a routine inspection at a beauty parlor owned by Jawad Ahmad’s wife. Upon being informed, Jawad Ahmad’s wife reportedly called him, prompting him and his associates to arrive at the scene in a black van.

Accusations of Meter Theft and Assault
The report claims that Jawad Ahmad forcibly took the electricity meter from Lesco staffer Shahid Khan, handing it to his colleague Adeel, who then fled the scene with the meter. The group is also accused of assaulting and injuring members of the Lesco team during the confrontation.
Financial Impact and Official Obstruction
The FIR further notes that the tampering of the meter led to significant financial losses for the national exchequer and obstructed the Lesco team’s official duties. The injured Lesco employees were immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment.
