FBR to Purchase 1,010 Honda City Vehicles for Rs. 6 Billion in Phases
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a Letter of Intent to Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited to purchase 1,010 Honda City 1.2L CVT vehicles at an estimated cost of Rs. 6 billion. The purchase will be made in two phases, with the first payment of Rs. 3 billion covering the cost of 500 units and partial payment for the remaining 510 units. The balance will be settled once the delivery of the first batch (500 vehicles) is completed.

The first payment will be processed once the pre-receipted bill is received, as stated by FBR. The scheduled delivery of the vehicles will occur between January and May 2025, with the following breakdown: 75 vehicles in January, 200 in February, 225 in March, 250 in April, and the final 260 units in May.
In addition to the vehicles, the procurement includes several value-added features, such as a navigation system with a reverse camera, a high-grade interior, free periodic maintenance for up to 20,000 km or 12 months, and an extended warranty of four years or 100,000 km. FBR has also requested the installation of a tracking system in each car, with a one-year service charge and a discounted subscription renewal fee.
