Bomb Threats Target Trump Administration Amid Speculation of Opposition to Cabinet

Trump Cabinet Nominees Face Violent Threats Amid Transition Period

President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team has reported a series of violent threats targeting his incoming cabinet members and administration appointees, including bomb alerts and “swatting” incidents.

In a statement released Wednesday, spokesperson Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the threats were made on Tuesday night, November 27, and the following morning. “The threats ranged from bomb scares to swatting incidents,” Leavitt said, referring to the dangerous practice of falsely reporting emergencies to prompt armed police responses to targeted locations.

While specific individuals were not disclosed, Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik revealed that her home had been subjected to a bomb threat. Stefanik, nominated to serve as the US Ambassador to the United Nations, expressed gratitude to law enforcement for their swift and professional response. She and her family were traveling to their New York home from Washington, DC, when they were informed of the threat.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has confirmed an active investigation into these incidents. “We take all potential threats seriously,” an FBI spokesperson stated, urging the public to report any suspicious activities immediately.

These threats emerge amid heightened tensions surrounding Trump’s return to the White House in January. Earlier incidents include an attempted assassination on Trump in July, where he sustained injuries in Pennsylvania, and a September incident involving a man allegedly positioning himself with a rifle outside one of Trump’s Florida properties.

Despite these threats, Trump’s transition team remains unwavering. “With President Trump as our example, dangerous acts of intimidation and violence will not deter us,” Leavitt asserted, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to move forward decisively.

The Justice Department has yet to comment on the threats, and further updates are anticipated as the FBI continues its investigation.
