Miscreants Want Bloodshed, Not Revolution PM Shehbaz on PTI Protest

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the violent attacks on law enforcement personnel during recent protests in Islamabad, describing the actions of the protesters as a “clear attempt at bloodshed rather than revolution.” He stated that the violent incidents, including the tragic deaths of four Rangers personnel and two policemen, were not part of a peaceful protest but rather an act of extremism, emphasizing that Pakistan cannot tolerate such violence for political purposes.

The PM expressed deep sorrow and grief following the deaths of the officers, calling the attacks on security forces, particularly on the Rangers and police officers, completely reprehensible. He condemned the deliberate targeting of law enforcement agencies, which are tasked with maintaining peace and order in the city. He reiterated that the protesters’ violent actions have devastated the families of the fallen officers and stressed the need for justice for the innocent children and families affected by the tragedy.

Prime Minister Shahbaz also addressed the incident on Srinagar Highway, where protesters rammed a vehicle into Rangers personnel, causing their deaths. He called for the immediate identification and prosecution of those responsible for this attack and directed that the injured officers receive the best medical care.

The protests, led by supporters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, have resulted in intense clashes with security forces, leading to casualties. As tensions continue to rise, the Ministry of Interior has announced the deployment of the Pakistan Army in Islamabad under Article 245 of the Constitution to address security concerns. This move comes amid heightened security measures, with containers blocking key routes and a significant presence of police, Rangers, and other security forces in the capital’s red zone to prevent further violence.

Authorities have vowed to take strict action against those responsible for the violence, including the use of extreme measures to restore order and protect public safety.
