Metro Bus Service Suspended in Rawalpindi, Islamabad Ahead of PTI Protest

The metro bus service in Rawalpindi and Islamabad will be fully suspended on November 24 due to PTI’s scheduled protest in the federal capital. The suspension will impact operations along the route from Saddar Station to Pak Secretariat Station as directed by the district administration.

The decision aims to prevent disruptions and ensure public safety amidst heightened political activity. This precautionary measure follows previous administrative steps taken to manage mobility during sensitive situations.

Additionally, the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) announced temporary closures of key motorways across Pakistan starting at 8:00 PM on November 22, 2024. These closures are part of ongoing efforts to enhance road safety and improve infrastructure.

Travelers have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience during the bus service suspension and motorway closures.
