Hassan Nawaz Declared Bankrupt by UK Court

Hassan Nawaz, the son of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif, has officially been declared bankrupt by the London High Court on Sunday. The court’s ruling follows a tax case filed against him by the UK’s tax and revenue department.

The case, numbered 694, was filed in 2023, with legal proceedings commencing on August 25, 2023. After several months of legal proceedings, the court has now made its decision, which has drawn significant attention due to Hassan Nawaz’s high-profile family background and the ongoing scrutiny of his financial affairs in both Pakistan and the UK.

This bankruptcy declaration has raised further questions about the Sharif family’s financial dealings, as it is part of a broader investigation into their assets and wealth.
