The Islamabad High Court has directed the Superintendent of Adiala Jail to facilitate a meeting for former PTI leader Imran Khan with his party leaders on Tuesday. The decision came during a contempt petition hearing by a three-member bench led by Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan. PTI’s lawyer, Faisal Fareed Chaudhry, informed the court that a meeting, previously scheduled, was not arranged, citing a blockade on Adiala Road that also affected the movement of other PTI leaders, such as Asad Qaiser and Shibli Faraz.
In response, Advocate General Islamabad Ayaz Shaukat clarified that the authorities had submitted a response to the contempt petition, explaining that three coordinators had been assigned to organize the meeting, but no list of the six individuals wishing to meet Imran Khan had been provided.

The Superintendent of Adiala Jail, Abdul Ghafoor Anjum, confirmed that meetings were scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday, but additional security was required for other days due to the high-profile nature of the meetings. The court ordered the creation of a list of individuals wishing to meet Imran Khan and directed that it be submitted to the Advocate General of Islamabad and PTI Secretary Salman Akram Raja.

On November 8, an anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi deferred the indictment of Imran Khan and others involved in the May 9 attack on the GHQ in Rawalpindi. The attack, which occurred after Khan’s arrest at the Islamabad High Court, was part of widespread protests triggered by his detention, where supporters sought his release.
