Pakistan’s veteran spinner Noman Ali has been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month award following his outstanding performance against England, which led to Pakistan’s first home Test series win in over three years.
The 38-year-old was instrumental during the series, taking 20 wickets at an impressive average of 13.85 in the second and third Tests. His remarkable bowling was key in Pakistan’s comeback, culminating in a series victory on home soil.

In the second Test, defending a target of 297, Noman produced a career-best performance, claiming 8 wickets for 46 runs, leading to Pakistan’s first home Test win since 2021. His lethal left-arm orthodox bowling dismantled the English batting order.
Noman’s influence continued in the series decider in Rawalpindi. After Pakistan found itself at 177/7, he contributed a vital 45 runs, extending the lead to 77. He then capped off his match-winning display with six wickets in the second innings, bowling England out for just 112 runs. His all-around excellence secured a nine-wicket victory in the final Test, clinching the series in style.
Noman’s remarkable performances not only marked a successful return to winning at home for Pakistan but also highlighted his role as a key match-winner, ensuring a memorable series triumph.
He is nominated alongside South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner for the ICC Player of the Month award.
