Former Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam has received a remarkable honor with the display of his bat, used in the 2022 T20 World Cup final, in the esteemed long room of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). This prestigious recognition places Babar’s bat alongside those of cricketing legends such as Don Bradman, Jack Hobbs, Brian Lara, and David Boon.

Officials from the MCG reached out to Babar with a request to donate his bat, which he proudly accepted. Reflecting on this significant gesture, Babar expressed his gratitude, stating, “It is an honor for me to have my bat in the long room here. I have many fond memories of the MCG. It is one of the best grounds, and it’s a privilege to see my bat displayed with those of the world’s great batsmen.”
