KARACHI – The Sindh government has officially announced a public holiday on November 1 to allow the Hindu community to celebrate Diwali in the province. This initiative is part of the government’s annual practice of recognizing the significance of the festival for Hindu employees and workers, ensuring they have the opportunity to participate in the celebrations.

The Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department has issued a notification confirming the Diwali holiday. Hindu employees will have the day off on Friday, November 1, and this holiday will extend to all government and semi-government institutions, as well as authorized authorities. Additionally, advance salaries will be provided to Hindu employees to facilitate their celebrations.
