Pakistan’s Petroleum Imports Increase by 4% in September 2024

Pakistan’s petroleum imports saw a 4 percent increase in September 2024, reaching $1.388 billion, up from $1.331 billion in September 2023, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

However, when compared to the previous month, petroleum imports decreased by 1 percent, dropping from $1.398 billion in August 2024.

For the first quarter of FY25, the country’s total petroleum imports amounted to $4.053 billion, marking a 15.7 percent increase from $3.502 billion during the same quarter of the previous year.
