The Israeli military has confirmed that an airstrike has killed Gaza’s de facto Prime Minister, Rawhi Mushtaha, along with two senior ministers. This airstrike, which occurred three months ago, targeted an underground tunnel identified by Israeli intelligence as a command and control center.
According to the Israeli military, the airstrike was based on precise intelligence, confirming that Mushtaha, a significant figure in Hamas and close ally of Yahya Sinwar, was in the tunnel. Mushtaha had a long history with Sinwar, as both were imprisoned in Israeli jails together.

In addition to Mushtaha, Hamas Defense Minister Sami al-Sarraj and his deputy, Sami Oudieh, were also killed in the attack. Al-Sarraj was responsible for security within Hamas’ political bureau, while Oudieh managed the organization’s general security strategy.
Hamas has not yet confirmed or denied the Israeli claims regarding the deaths of its senior leaders, contributing to the uncertainty surrounding the situation. The deaths of Mushtaha and his ministers represent a significant setback for Hamas’ leadership in Gaza.
