COMSTECH Launches Research Fellowship Program for Mauritania: Strengthening Scientific Ties
The OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) has announced a new research fellowship program targeting students, scholars, and institutions in Mauritania. This initiative is part of a collaborative effort between Pakistan and Mauritania to boost scientific capacity and foster stronger academic and research partnerships.
An official source confirmed that these fellowships are part of the joint Science and Technology Capacity Building Program, established in collaboration with Mauritania’s National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation. The program offers young researchers and early-stage scientists in Mauritania the opportunity to spend six months at leading research centers in OIC member states, particularly in Pakistan.

The aim of these fellowships is to enhance the research and development skills of Mauritanian scholars, promoting early career collaborations and long-term academic partnerships. Additionally, Mauritanian students and scholars are encouraged to explore other opportunities provided by COMSTECH, which are regularly updated on the organization’s website and social media channels.
Research and development institutions in Mauritania are also invited to collaborate with COMSTECH Centers of Excellence to facilitate knowledge exchange, technological innovation, and capacity building.
