Pakistan announces its playing XI for the first Test against Bangladesh

Pakistan has announced its playing XI for the first Test against Bangladesh, starting August 21 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. Shan Masood will lead the team for the first time in a home series, supported by Abdullah Shafique at the top of the order. The batting lineup includes Saud Shakeel and Babar Azam, known for his consistent performance.

In the fast bowling department, Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead the attack, with support from Naseem Shah, Mohammad Ali, and emerging talent Khurram Shahzad. This pace quartet is expected to be crucial on the Rawalpindi pitch, which traditionally supports fast bowlers. Salman Ali Agha, the team’s sole spinner and all-rounder, will provide balance with his dual role.
