Pakistan-born veteran all-rounder Sikandar Raza has confirmed that he will only represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. This statement came in response to a fan’s question about whether he had considered playing for his country of birth.
Raza, who was born in Sialkot in April 1986, made his debut for Zimbabwe in May 2013 and has since become a key player for the team. During a Q&A session on his X handle, he addressed a query from a Pakistani journalist about potentially playing for Pakistan.

“I am a born Pakistani and a product of Zimbabwe Cricket. I will only and ever represent Zimbabwe. They have invested time and resources in me, and I am committed to repaying their faith. Whatever I achieve will never even come close to repaying it. Zimbabwe is my home, and I am fully theirs,” Raza stated.
In addition to his batting prowess, Raza is also a versatile bowler with both off-spin and leg-spin capabilities. In Test matches, he has claimed 34 wickets, including two five-wicket hauls, while in ODIs he has taken 88 wickets and 66 in T20Is.
