On the second day of the Paris Olympics 2024, 13 more gold medals were awarded, with Japan and Australia leading the tally with four golds each. The competition for medals is intensifying, with several countries making significant strides.

Japan currently boasts four gold, two silver, and one bronze medal, while Australia matches Japan’s gold tally and has added two bronze medals, totaling six. The United States leads in overall medals, with 12 — comprising three gold, three bronze, and six silver medals.

Host country France has secured a total of eight medals, including three gold, three silver, and two bronze. Korea has also performed well, winning three gold, two silver, and one bronze medal. China has garnered three gold medals, one silver, and two bronze.

Italy’s athletes have earned a gold, two silver, and three bronze medals. Kazakhstan has achieved a gold and two bronze medals, and Belgium has won a gold and a bronze medal each. Germany, Hong Kong, and Uzbekistan have each secured one gold medal. Meanwhile, Great Britain has won two silver and two bronze medals, Brazil has a silver and two bronze, and Canada has collected a silver and a bronze medal.
