PTI has postponed its Islamabad protest until Monday due to a delay in permission from the Islamabad High Court

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has postponed its planned protest in Islamabad, initially scheduled for today. PTI regional president Aamir Mughal announced that the decision to delay the protest came after the party applied for permission from the deputy commissioner on July 23 but did not receive approval. The matter was then taken to the Islamabad High Court, which has expressed its intention to allow the protest on Monday, reserving the final decision.

Mughal emphasized the party’s respect for the legal process and the court’s pending decision. He noted that the protest will be held on Monday for eighty days, in accordance with the court’s guidance. The PTI’s central leadership was consulted in making the decision to postpone the protest.

PTI held small demonstrations in various cities, including Lahore, Karachi, and Quetta. In Islamabad, 13 JI activists were arrested during their protest at D-Chowk and were transferred to Kohsar police station.
