[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Megan Fox has a talent for matching her red carpet outfits with her fiance, Machine Gun Kelly, including but not limited to pink wigs for the Hulu documentary premiere of MGK, crystal-encrusted dresses at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, and, of course, when they were tied together by their manicures at a launch event for Kelley’s nail polish line, Un/Dn Laqr. At the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, Kelly made a splash with a $30,000 diamond manicure. At the 2023 Grammy Awards, Fox matched Kelly’s legendary manicure with a 14 karat white gold and diamond nail set.
Fox stepped onto the red carpet alongside Kelly, who is nominated for Rock Album of the Year for “Mainstream Sellout.” She wore a white floor-length gown with a fitted silhouette and a short train. Her dress has a baroque feel to it, with a sheer corset-like bodice with exposed boning, and is covered in a geometric gem designs. She accessorized the look with silver Louboutin sandals and very minimal jewelry.
Fox hadn’t worn short hair in years until her bob reveal last week—tonight, she carried on her love for shorter hairstyles and wore her black tresses in huge waves parted down the center, with a flip at the end hitting right at the shoulder.
Her glam was simple yet sophisticated with a glossy pink lip, a wash of brown eyeshadow in her crease, a mini wing on both eyes, and rosy blush. “Megan’s look is elegant Hollywood, so we wanted to do a glam that focused on gorgeous skin and wispy lashes elongated at the ends,” says Fox’s makeup artist, Jenna Kristina. To create the look, Kristina used Maybelline New York products, including the Shadow Blocks ($14) in 82nd & Park Ave, and the TikTok favorite Lifter Gloss ($10) in the shade Ice. A pair of fluttery Kiss MLBB (My Lash But Better) ($12) lashes in the style Bare Affair finished off the romantic look.
Fox hired the team behind Kelley’s famed $30,000 manicure, jewellery company Marrow Fine, and celebrity manicurist Brittany Boyce’s nail salon, Nails of LA, to do her nails. According to Jillian Sassone, creator and creative director of Marrow Fine, “I am very happy to work with Nails of LA again to design this ultra-chic, gold manicure for Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly.” It’s always a thrill to design something so special for customers that enjoy fashion so much!
Fox’s manicure has 150 beautiful white diamonds fashioned into crosses on each fingernail, as well as a solid 14kt white gold base. The team admits that perfecting this technique required a laborious procedure. Before sending the stiletto-shaped tips to Sassone, Boyce first customised a form for Fox by shaping Apres Gel X Extensions to the star’s nail beds.
In order to construct a set of solid gold tips, Sassone 3D scanned the tips, replicated them in wax, and then had the wax pieces cast in white gold. After that, Sassone painstakingly fashioned 150 diamonds into cross shapes to add the finishing touch to Fox’s appearance. That truly is luxury.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
