[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Beijing on Monday for a four-day visit, co-chairing the Fifth Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
Upon arrival, Dar was welcomed by Director General Ambassador Wang Fu Kang and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi.

During the strategic dialogue, both sides will extensively assess bilateral relations, covering economic and trade cooperation, high-level exchanges, the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), future connectivity initiatives, and the geopolitical landscape.
In addition to the strategic dialogue, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is expected to hold meetings with Chinese leaders, senior ministers, and corporate executives.
The visit underscores the regular high-level exchanges between Pakistan and China, emphasizing the significance both nations attach to deepening their “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.” This includes reinforcing mutual support on core issues, enhancing economic and trade cooperation, particularly under CPEC, and strengthening joint commitments to regional peace and development.
China expressed anticipation for Dar’s visit, highlighting its importance in institutional exchanges between the two foreign ministries and affirming its willingness to work with Pakistan to implement the leaders’ consensus.
Furthermore, Pakistan and China have agreed to expedite CPEC projects across various sectors, as discussed during the meeting between Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal and Vice Chairman National Development and Reform Commission of China Zhao Chenxin in Beijing. Plans include implementing the Industrial Cooperation Framework Agreement, modernizing industry, mines, and mineral sectors, prioritizing cooperation in Artificial Intelligence and agriculture, enhancing Gwadar’s connectivity, and bolstering road and highway infrastructure cooperation. They also committed to convening the next round of CPEC’s Joint Coordination Committee before the prime minister’s upcoming visit to China.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
