In a proactive move, personnel from the Pakistan Army, Rangers, and other law enforcement entities conducted flag marches across different regions of the country on Tuesday, strategically positioning themselves for the impending elections.
Flag marches were notably observed in several key locations such as Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Jehangira, Pabbi, Peshawar, and Gwadar. Additionally, in Rawalpindi district, seven constituencies of the National Assembly witnessed a flag march conducted collaboratively by the Pakistan Army, Rangers, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), traffic police, and other law enforcement agencies. This coordinated effort serves as a crucial component of their preparedness to maintain peace and security during the electoral process.

Led by prominent figures including City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani, SSP Operations Hafiz Kamran Asghar, and divisional SPs, the flag marches were carried out separately in NA 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, and 57. A police spokesperson highlighted that the primary objective of these flag marches was to underscore their commitment to conducting the elections peacefully. More than 9500 police personnel are set to be deployed to ensure peace on the polling day, with strategic deployments at 580 Category A polling stations, 980 Category B polling stations, and 1221 Category C polling stations.
To enhance security measures, the entire city has been strategically divided into 280 clusters for police patrolling. Alongside the police, Pakistan Army and Rangers Quick Response Force (QRF) will actively engage in patrolling duties at crucial locations. Police Quick Response (QRF) teams will be on standby to patrol the entire city and respond promptly to any emerging situations.
To facilitate the safe delivery and transportation of polling materials, special security arrangements have been put in place. Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras are being installed at polling stations, and officers will be present in the field, continuously monitoring security arrangements. Additionally, the display of weapons will be strictly prohibited, and the implementation of the Election Commission’s code of conduct will be rigorously ensured.
An integrated and foolproof security plan has been established to guarantee law and order during the elections. Continuous monitoring of the law and order situation will be facilitated through a dedicated control room at the police headquarters. This comprehensive approach underscores the commitment of the security forces to ensuring a secure and peaceful environment for the upcoming general elections.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
