This groundbreaking initiative seeks to provide 10,000 electric bikes and rickshaws to the public under favorable terms, completely interest-free.
During a media address, Chief Minister Naqvi elaborated on the key features of the ‘Green Wheels’ initiative. The program will allocate 2,000 electric three-wheeler bikes to special individuals, exempted from any interest charges.
An additional 2,000 electric bikes are earmarked for government employees, with an additional 2,000 set aside for women in both government and private sectors, all provided without incurring interest.
A noteworthy aspect of this initiative is the significant shift in government procurement policies. Chief Minister Naqvi declared a ban on the acquisition of fuel motorcycles at the government level.
