Ahmed Owais, a leader from the former ruling party, has proposed the nomination papers filed by Barrister Gohar.
The PTI Chief Election Commissioner informed local media that the elections are being held according to the party’s rules of 2020, revised in 2022. Party members will cast their votes for the entire panel.
Last month, the top electoral watchdog in Pakistan invalidated the intra-party polls of Imran Khan’s party held in June the previous year, deeming them objectionable. The Election Commission gave PTI a 20-day ultimatum to conduct fresh polls, warning of the potential loss of the party’s election symbol.
